This custom 1/3-scale front-discharge concrete mixer truck was built for Ernst Concrete and modeled around the appearance and functionality of their full-size concrete mixer trucks.

The truck measures approximately 6 ft long and features a custom-fabricated concrete mixer drum, front-discharge chute system, controllable lift axle, working lighting, and full Ernst Concrete paint and branding.

The mixer drum is one of the main features of this build. It was custom fabricated specifically for the truck and is fully functional, with variable speed and rotation in both directions controlled directly from the transmitter. The third axle is also transmitter-controlled and can be raised or lowered independently.

The front chute assembly can be positioned from side to side and includes removable extension chutes stored directly on the truck, adding another functional detail to the mixer setup.

The truck runs on a 24V electric drive system using two 12V 35Ah batteries, with separate 24V drive and steering gearmotors. It also includes a 150 dB horn, working headlights and marker lights, and separate 12V accessory power.

A large portion of the build was designed around reproducing the details of a full-size front-discharge mixer, including the front operator area, ladder and platform, exhaust system, rear engine enclosure, fenders, tanks, mud flaps, custom graphics, and the distinctive Ernst Concrete green color scheme.
