This custom 1/3-scale fire truck was built to recreate the appearance of a full-size fire apparatus, with a red-and-white color scheme, detailed pump panels, a fixed aerial ladder, working emergency lighting, and full remote-controlled driving and steering.

The truck features an interchangeable body system, allowing the fire truck body to be removed and replaced with a compatible school bus body on the same powered chassis. A shared electrical connector connects the body’s lighting and accessories to the chassis. Each body must be properly mounted and secured before operation.

The emergency lighting and sound systems are key features of this build. Working headlights, marker lights, and flashing strobes bring the truck to life, while a siren with adjustable volume and a separate horn complete the emergency vehicle setup.

The truck runs on a 24V electric drive system using two 12V 35Ah batteries, with separate drive and steering gearmotors and 12V accessory power. Driving and steering are controlled through the transmitter, along with the main lighting controls.

Much of the build focuses on reproducing the visual details of a full-size fire truck, including the cab, mirrors, grille, bumpers, diamond-plate accents, compartment doors, and pump-panel graphics. The roof-mounted aerial ladder is a fixed display feature.

The removable body also provides access to the chassis and electronics for maintenance and servicing. This configuration allows the same powered base to support different vehicle displays for trade shows, demonstrations, and events.
